Departments

The Assessor estimates the value of real property in the Town of Burke’s boundaries. These values are converted into the municipality’s assessment roll. This assessment is updated annually and the assessment roll is changed accordingly.

The Code Officer enforces the provisions of local building and zoning laws and the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.

 

The Town Clerk is the gateway to the services provided by the Town of Burke performing several administrative tasks, ranging from maintaining municipal records, local laws and ordinances,   issuing licenses and permits,  to supervising elections within the municipality

The Highway Department is responsible for the care, superintendence, repair and maintenance (including snow and ice control) of town highways and bridges 

TheTown of Burke Justice Court handles minor civil and criminal litigation and the early stages of major criminal litigation arising within the Town limits.

The Tax Collector collects property taxes levied by the County and Town.
